Teacher Induction & Mentoring Program

Mentors will meet with their Beginning Teachers for a minimum of 180 minutes a month. 

Kickup will be used to document

• Interactions - time logs

• Program priority area

• Mentoring tool use

Mentors will use instructional mentoring tools and processes to support the development of beginning teachers.

High leverage tools and processes strongly recommended:

1. Planning Conversations Guide (PCG)

2. Analysis of Student Learning (ASL)

3. Observation Cycle

   • Pre-Observation Conversation (POC)

   • Observation

   • Post-Observation Co-Analysis (POCA)

Mentors will complete the Foundational Institute for Mentors training.

Mentors will attend a minimum of 4 Mentor Forums.
