In this article it will be talking about Sensei Takizawa, a language arts teacher who teaches here at Konawaena High School.
Sensei Takizawa first became interested in Japanese because it was part of her culture. She was also taught it from a young age and had proceeded to continue to learn it throughout her life. Also when she was young whenever her fathers friends would come around he would speak only Japanese so she became interested. She eventually became a Konawaena Graduate and chose to become a teacher because “It seemed like the simplest thing to do” she says. Later she became a language teacher here at Konawaena High School.
She says that “Japan is a very structured country with many rules that most of the people there follow, it is also a very beautiful and clean place” when asked about Japan.
She says “I enjoy interacting with the kids and I like watching them progress” when asked what she likes about teaching. And then said “It gives students background and also a better understanding of a different culture, and it also opens up roles in different kinds of jobs” When asked how it helps students for the future.
When interviewing Ms. Adriana Parra, a new Language Arts teacher here. She thinks Sensei Takizawa is a very talented and gifted teacher and has most likely been at this for a long time. She also explained that Sensei was very helpful to her and helped her set standards for her language class and has been super, super patient with her.
She says “Her’s is definitely harder because of the different forms and all the symbols” when asked which of their classes were harder to learn.
Brayden Joseph-Bennet, a freshman here at Konawaena and a student of Sensei's, explained that Sensei’s class is useful in a bunch of ways, one being like going on a trip to Japan. Says that “She is very skilled in her like uh… craft” when asked how she is as a teacher. So far Brayden's experience in her class has been smooth up to this point. Also he is interested in her class because Japan is part of his heritage and he one day plans on going to Japan.
Cayden Jace Agonoy, a sophomore here at Konawaena is also a student of Sensei’s. His experience in Sensei’s class has been good as he says “Her class isn’t hard you just have to uh, be focused and committed to learning the language” when asked if her class is hard. He enjoys her class because she is fun most of the time and likes to mess and joke around with students sometimes so she’s enjoyable but still fair. Cayden is taking her class mainly because he wants to earn a language credit so he can go to a good college.
