Intervention is beneficial for all students who need to make up their grades or to do missing work. It’s not just beneficial to students, but to teachers as well. This plan of action is a great strategy for both teachers and students because it benefits them both.
Intervention is also said to have positive feedback from both teachers and students.
Erica Burns, an English teacher, says that the intervention is a great time to help students who really need help with her class. It gives her an opportunity to see what the students don’t understand and what they need to work on.
“ I appreciate to see how it continues to go- we’re only three weeks in. So hopefully it will be a nice- um- transition into it and get to be more effective as the time goes on is what I'm hoping.” Dr Burns said.
Dr Burns had helped students that came into intervention and it helps her also have the time to personally talk to students to help them understand what they’re struggling with.
Another teacher had also given positive feedback about Intervention. Liana White teaches arts and crafts and says that it not only benefits students and teachers, but also gives students the opportunity to improve.
“I think as we try it out and get better at it, I think it will become more and more useful for everyone- um- and yeah” White said.
White had also had the opportunities to help students who needed to complete their missing assignments and had seen improvements in their work.
Lilia, a Konawaena student, had said that intervention helps those who want to make up their work and also get the time to personally ask questions to teachers of what they need help with an assignment/ project.
“ Um- i believe it is beneficial because it helps students get caught up on their work because some people have, like, extra curricular after school- and so they don’t have time to do homework.” Lila said.
Lila believes that intervention is a great time for people who are busy after school and need to finish up their assignments. It allows students to not lose points when they turn in their work on time.
