I interviewed 3 people who either go to or work here at Konawaena High School about the new lunch menu. First, I interviewed Coach Rico Ventinilla, a well-known Konawaena teacher. I then interviewed Caden Jace Agony, who is a sophomore student and wrestler at Konawaena. And finally, I interviewed Pearl Muraki, our cafeteria manager at Konawaena.
Ms. Muraki said, “The kids love it all,” when I asked her how she thinks students or staff like the new menu, so thats good the new menu is getting good feedback about the new menu. The new menu for Konawaena High School now includes things like chicken Florentine, Korean barbecue beef bowl, orange chicken, and chicken noodle stir-fry. According to Ms. Muraki, it was not the school that decided the new lunch, but the entire state that did. (Her current favorite menu item is the chicken Florentine)
When I interviewed Coach Rico, I asked what food he liked best. He said his favorite food was the pizza, and when I asked why, he said, “Italian is one of my favorite foods, so it’s just tasty and makes me feel full, makes me feel hearty” so this explains why pizza is his favorite. I asked Coach Rico what was better about this new menu compared to the old, and everything was basically okay, but the only thing he said he doesn’t like is the chicken nuggets. However, Coach Rico still said he likes one thing on the old menu — that being the shoyu chicken.
Finally, I interviewed Caden Jace Agony, who is a sophomore here at Konawaena. When I asked him if he would change anything about the menu, he said, “Nothing, because I’m not picky”. He likes the new lunches and doesn’t mind what they look like so long as they taste good. He said he prefers the new lunches to the old ones and said he thinks it’s a lot better than the old
