Brighton Kimball

I am Brighton Kimball.  For most of my life, I have been a creator.  In my youth, I created miniature towns, cities, and whatever else I could imagine, with Legos and wooden blocks.  Now, as a soon-to-be adult, I’ve written fictional stories.  Last year, I took a Creative Writing class.  I wrote stories that take place far away in a distant land in space, or poems that tell a tragedy that happens right in our backyard in Hawaii.  I value working as best as I can.  

This year, I hope to learn more skills in Youth Journalism, especially in non-fictional writing.  I’ve already climbed the challenging mountain of fiction writing, and I want to do the same for non-fiction.  I would like to try writing facts, interviews, and local articles.  Outside of school, I love hiking through the native forests of Hawaii, and I love hearing the eerie, but beautiful voices of the birds.  I will try my best this year, and try to make yet another year as memorable as the ones before, with whatever else that will happen throughout this time.
