Parent Survey Engagement Strategies
Multiple Communication Channels: Surveys were shared through hard copies sent home, school websites, social media, email, and messaging platforms like ParentSquare, ClassDojo, and Remind.
Incentives & Rewards: Students received ice cream treats, incentive points, and raffle entries when their parents completed the survey. In addition, grade-level competitions and prizes encouraged participation.
Personal Outreach: Student Government members engaged parents in parking lots, and staff handed out flyers during after-school programs and parent events.
Event-Based Participation: Parents were encouraged to complete surveys at EL Parent Night and other family engagement events.
Easy Access & QR Codes: Surveys were distributed with QR codes on letters, school websites, and digital platforms for quick access.
Consistent Reminders: Weekly messages were sent via newsletters, school-wide announcements, and digital communication tools. Teachers also reminded students to inform their parents.
Hard Copy Distribution: Paper surveys were sent home with students, often in sealed envelopes for confidentiality.
Multilingual Accessibility: Translated surveys and letters were provided to families with home languages other than English.
Classroom Competitions: The first class to achieve 100% participation won a school trophy or special reward.
School Personnel Survey Engagement Strategies
Dedicated Meeting Time: Faculty and staff were given time during meetings to complete the survey.
Frequent Reminders: Survey deadlines were communicated through email reminders, staff bulletins, and memos.
Accountability Measures: Staff members were required to notify administrators once they completed the survey. A sticker chart in the office tracked progress.
Incentives & Recognition: Small thank-you gifts were provided to participating staff, and some schools framed the survey as a friendly competition with prizes for high participation rates.
Easy Digital Access: The survey link was shared via email, school websites, and digital staff communication tools.
