TSA has the ability to employ 180 people on the Big Island between Hilo and Kona Airports. As an agency we have been trying to increase our local hiring and diversity for all positions. TSA has made some really positive changes in the past couple of years to be able to recruit young adults right out of high school. We do offer free courses toward a AA degree and I have included another college tuition re-imbursement program, this combined with higher than prevailing entry level wages than other jobs on the Big Island will hopefully make us more attractive to young adults.

Honolulu Community College Summer 2025 CTE Academy
The Summer CTE Academy is a five-week exploratory summer program that offers high school students the opportunity to experience various career and technical education programs offered at Honolulu Community College.
Open to all high school students (Class of 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028).
Program Fee is $50
