Brag Sheet 101

What is a Brag Sheet:

A brag sheet is more than just a list of your achievements—it's your personal record of accomplishments, activities, and skills that you've built up over time. Whether you're preparing for college applications, job interviews, or just staying organized, a brag sheet helps you keep track of all your important milestones.

Why is it useful?

Pro Tip: Update Regularly!

Be sure to update your brag sheet at least once a semester. Every club meeting you lead, volunteer hour you serve, or award you earn should make its way onto the list. By the time you need it, your brag sheet will be a comprehensive, ready-to-use tool for your future success.

How to Make your own Brag Sheet:

Step 1: Make a Copy of the Following Template

Use this template to guide you as you fill in your own accomplishments. Be thoughtful in your responses!

Step 2: Thoughtfully Answer the Questions

When filling out your brag sheet, think about how you spend your time, especially outside of school. List everything from helping out at home to odd jobs you've done and hobbies like fishing or diving. Even small contributions, like babysitting siblings or mowing a neighbor’s lawn, count!

Step 3: Include Dates
Always make sure to include the month and year you participated in an activity. This will help you keep track of when you accomplished something and ensure you have an organized record for future use.

Step 4: Store Your Brag Sheet in Google Drive

Once you've filled out your brag sheet, be sure to store it in a safe place like Google Drive. This way, you won’t lose it, and you can easily access it anytime you need to update it. You can also share it with teachers or counselors when requesting a letter of recommendation.
