Drawing & Painting

Students will develop skills in drawing and painting. Some of the subjects that will be included, but are not limited to, are traditional art (still life drawing and plein air painting) and contemporary art (abstract and surreal art) . Various techniques and materials are introduced from pencil drawing to painting with watercolor and acrylics. This course is project based, while attendance and participation are an integral and an essential part to overall success.

Drawing and Painting 1 to 4

Drawing and Painting 1 is an introductory course in developing skills in drawing and painting. Lines, shapes, textures, light and shade, color, and composition will be covered. Various techniques and materials are introduced.

Drawing and Painting 2 is an intermediate level course which emphasizes expanding the student’s interests through individualized projects.

Kojima has a BFA Graphic Design from UH Mānoa. Heʻs been at Campbell for six years. Whenever he gets a chance, he enjoys surfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and painting.
