Provide Standards of the Mentoring Practice (SOMP) with Guaranteed Supports for the Beginning Teacher by:
Supporting BT a minimum of 180 minutes per month.
Documenting interactions on online New Teacher Center Kiano platform & use of online tools
Conducting classroom observation cycles at least once a semester with individualized, non-judgement, non-evaluative feedback & support
Assisting with Analysis of Student Learning
Engaging in professional reflection on effective teaching practices, challenges and next steps
Scheduling regular meetings with Principal to share mentoring activities & collaborate on BT support
Participating in mentor trainings and mentor forums
Complete online program survey in spring
