In partnership with Uncle Keone Kalawe, Kamehameha Schools ʻĀina Ulu, and Queen Liliʻuokalani Trust, our students will learn about the many aspects of the sport of hōlua, as well as the cultural and historical practices. Students will share their work and knowledge with their peers and community.

Uncle Keone Kalawe guides ALO leadership students on huakaʻi to historical kāhua hōlua to gather photos and moʻolelo. There are at least 72 kāhua hōlua on Hawaiʻi Island!
