About AVAC:

This is a satellite site of AVAC Main. Since AVAC offers a continuum of services for low-income families and individuals we will be certain to make information available to all taxpayers receiving assistance here.  We always have brochures readily available that provide information on all the services we offer as well as how to access them.  We regularly post flyers not only about the services we offer but also other services in the community that can be of benefit to those we serve.  Services offered at our center include emergency financial assistance for rent & utility payments, as well as Dollar Energy Fund & CAP assistance.  We partner with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and host a Mass Drive-up Food Distribution site in addition to our regular food pantry services.  We offer employment and education assistance services through a partnership with the Allegheny County Dept. of Human Services, funded by a Community Services Block Grant.  We operate 3 housing programs, including an emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness.  We also have a partnership with Habitat for Humanity-Allegheny Valley and offer counseling for families seeking homeownership through them.  Several other programs that provide services to low-income members of our community are also offered.  All VITA consumers will be offered information on accessing these critical services that supply both basic life necessities as well as asset building opportunities.

This site is available for in-person tax prep only. Clients will contact 211 to schedule appointments.
