1. Elf – This movie is a hilarious comedy about an elf who meets his real father. Great movie for all ages!

5. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer-This is a classic Claymation special for the whole family.

6. Home Alone-Kevin’s family flies off to Paris for Christmas and accidentally leaves him behind. When burglars try to break in, hijinks ensue. A great movie for the whole family.

7. Scrooged-A funny 1980s version of the classic A Christmas Carol. Best for kids 10 and older.

Ice Age: The Meltdown-reviewed by Antonio Patti

Ice Age: The Meltdown is a movie about a squirrel named Scrat, a sloth named Sid, a mammoth named Manny, a sabertooth tiger named Diego, and the Missoula floods. The animals have to make a mass migration to the boat at the end of the valley, because of the floods. First, the movie opens in a happy setting at the end of the last Ice Age, about 15,000 years ago. (So of course there are prehistoric animals!) Next, all the animals are playing with Sid the sloth, and he feels disrespected, so he tries to go down the Eviserator, a waterslide. Then, when Manny and Diego try to stop Sid, he pushes them both down the slide. Okay: moving on to the story of the squirrel. Scrat is a squirrel that is obsessed with one acorn. He is so obsessed that he follows the acorn through a hawk’s nest, an ice floe, and a cavernous crack that he made. I will let you find out the rest. I liked this movie because it is funny and that it has connections to the real world. Here is a link to the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfESEXIZ_lw

Escape this Book-reviewed by Larkin Boyd

Escape this Book is an Activity book series by: Bill Doyle and Illustrated by Sarah Sax. The series Has three books Escape This Book Titanic, Escape This Book Tombs of Egypt, And Escape This Book Race to the Moon. You have to draw, tear, fold cut, and puncture the book to escape. The book is hosted by the master Escapologist. Each one has three paths. For the Titanic one they are Passenger, Crew Member, and Stowaway. For Tombs of Egypt you can be a Pharaoh, a Pyramid Worker, or an Archeologist. For Race to the Moon you can be a Mission Commander, a Flight Director, or a Moon Buggy Driver. I highly recommend, and it's great for car trips.

Elf-reviewed by Claire Gage

If you go past the candy cane forest and travel through the swirly-twirly gumdrops, you find not all elves are the same. Buddy the elf was born with the Hobbs family, but only the mother knew she had him. She had not told the father. She put Buddy up for adoption. On Christmas day, Santa came to the orphanage and as a baby, Buddy crawled into Santa’s sack while he was eating cookies and ended up in the North Pole! Years and years later he is working at Santa’s shop with the other elves but is working in the “special elves” department, seeing if the toys work.

Brent's Blurbs and Books-Keeper of the Lost Cities

Welcome back to Brent’s Blurbs and Books, today I’m doing a review on the amazing book series, Keeper of the Lost Cities. Keeper of the Lost Cities is about a girl named Sophie who finds out that she’s an elf and is destined to save the elf race. Elves have magical powers, and all of the “mythical animals” are in fact real. Sophie learns many other things that humans thought were legends as she fights to save her human and elven worlds with many mysteries to unfold. If you like mystery and fantasy this book is for you.

After hearing the elves talking about him behind his back, he realizes he will never fit in, but when papa elf tells him about his dad in New York for the first time and how his mother died, along with figuring out his dad is on the naughty list, he runs away to New York. To hoping across streets to world's best coffee, this classic will always make you laugh no matter how many times you have watched this. This is definitely a must watch!
