Activity Overview

On March 31, 2026, we hosted an exciting English Easter Egg Hunt Challenge designed to combine fun with meaningful language learning. A total of 65 Easter eggs were hidden across different areas of the school, with each egg containing an English word inside. The activity aimed to encourage students to actively use English outside the classroom in a fun, engaging, and memorable way. To build excitement, a student-led school broadcast announcement was made prior to the event, and on the morning of the activity, I addressed students during assembly as their English teacher to explain the challenge and motivate participation.

Challenge Instructions and Organization

During the morning assembly, students were reminded of the challenge rules to ensure fairness and understanding. Each student was allowed to collect only one egg, and maps were provided to give clues about where eggs were hidden around the school grounds. Students were instructed to participate during break times between classes and informed that after finding an egg, they would need to visit the academic affairs office to complete the English task before receiving their reward. The structured approach helped maintain excitement while encouraging responsible participation.

English Learning Objectives

The activity was tailored to different grade levels to match students’ English abilities. Grades 1–3 students were required to read aloud the English word found inside their egg, helping to improve pronunciation, vocabulary recognition, and confidence in speaking. Grades 4–6 students were challenged to create a sentence using the word they discovered, allowing them to practice sentence formation, grammar, and spoken English in a practical setting. By adapting the challenge according to grade level, students were able to participate meaningfully while developing their English communication skills.

Rewards and Recognition

At the end of the challenge, students who successfully completed their English task received rewards including chocolates and stationery items such as notebooks and pens. In addition to these prizes, students were also awarded Certificates of Participation in recognition of their effort and involvement in the activity. The Easter Egg Hunt Challenge created an enjoyable learning environment that promoted active English use, student engagement, and positive learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting.
