My name is Coach Jeff Curtis and I am the head coach of the John Curtis Varsity baseball team. I have been coaching since 2000. That was my first season as an assistant. My first season as head coach was 2016. WI started playing baseball when I was 7 years old. I played all the way through high school. I could have played baseball in college but chose to play college football instead. I hope the greatest strength is that we play as PATS. The acronym stands for P= Positive, A= Accountable, T= Toughness, and S=Selfless. I hope those 4 core values are the strength of our team. On game days, Usually we take batting practice approximately two to two and a half hours before game time, depending on where the game is played. Sometimes it will be 30 minutes, or so if we are hitting at an away park. Warmups begin 55 minutes before game time and infield/outfield routine takes place 20-30 minutes before game time. I think it’s important to have a routine that gets each player and coach ready to compete at a high level.
