IB covers many topics and large exams often have questions focused on connections between topics. I believe that a great revision strategy is to make diagrams and charts highlighting the common processes and features that are presented on different topics. A few examples are:
State all the membrane proteins you've learned in IB Biology and explain their structure and function in each cell.
Compare and contrast all the different types of cells you know and organize them by their degree of differentiation.
Compare the process of simple/facilitated diffusion and active transport in different cells and between animals and plants.
Classify structures in different organ systems and different organisms by size: what is measured in um, in mm and in cm?
Provide examples of how different cells use the processed of endocytosis to achieve different goals.
There are a few strategies that have proven to be very efficient for revising for large exams. Try all or some of these :
Do you find it easy to remember lyrics? Make a song!! Share it with me!! It may become a hit in HL Bio!
