Learning Targets:
In the upcoming week students will be completing a faith project through the book of Hebrews. In addition, we'll continue to learn from our Bible Internalization passage and lead our 5th grade buddies in a new Friendzy catch phrase for the month! (read below)
Friendzy: Unit two of our Friendzy curriculum is “It’s OK to not be OK.” It addresses the important topic of grief and loss, and the importance of self-awareness to not only feel our emotions but be able to name them. One of our key Bible verses for this unit is Matthew 5:4 which says, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” The other key Bible verse is Psalm 34:18 which states, “The Lord is close to the broken hearted. He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” This month our school will focus on understanding our emotions and grow in self-awareness grounded in scripture.
