Learning Targets: Unit 2 is both theological and practical. It builds the philosophical and spiritual case for Bible internalization. Each lesson adds a layer: hagah as method, honey as delight, rootedness as fruit, the formation of Scripture, the formation of the heart, the role of the Holy Spirit, and Jesus as model.
Friendzy: Unit 2 is “It’s OK to not be OK.” It addresses the important topic of grief and loss, and the importance of self-awareness to not only feel our emotions but be able to name them. The key Bible verses are Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” and Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the broken hearted. He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” We will focus on understanding our emotions and grow in self-awareness grounded in scripture.
Learning Targets: We will be reviewing and then taking the test. Then we will be discussing how to add, subtract, multiply and divide mixed numbers.
