This week in Bible we will again focus on the Gospel of Mattew. Instead of looking at its background, however, we will instead get a bird's eye view of the book. We will explore some of the more famous events in the gospel as we look forward to exploring the Sermon on the Mount in the following week.

Learning Targets:
This week in science, we will begin our next unit Heredity and Adaptations. We will start this unit by digging into the Bible. We will read and study the creation story, understanding and dissecting what the Bible says about the creation of the world. We will compare this to what many scientists believe, formulating some questions posed against the scientists but learning how we can respond in our faith. After digging into the Bible and scientific beliefs, we will begin to explore genetics and how genes are passed through generations.

Social Studies: This week we will continue our study of Ancient China by discussing Chinese Feudalism. We will then look at Shi Huangdi, and how he destroyed that system, and also how Shi became the first true emperor of China.
