Stay on Track: Keep up your grades and attendance to remain eligible for graduation and your WBL placement.
Exceed Standards: Aim for a high level of performance in every task you are assigned.
Be Punctual: Arrive on time, every time. Your employer and school depend on your consistency.
Report Absences: If you can’t make it, notify both your Employer and WBL Coordinator immediately.
Seek Guidance: Talk to your supervisor or coordinator early if you encounter any challenges at your site.
Track Your Progress: Accurately log your work hours, experiences, and wages in Jobready (or as assigned by the school).
Meet Deadlines: Submit all required forms and documentation on or before the due date.
Admission & Eligibility
Application is Not Guarantee: Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
Records Review: School officials will review your grades, discipline, and attendance records as part of the selection process.
Placement Required: You must secure an approved work placement before you can be officially enrolled.
Transportation & Logistics
Travel Responsibility: Transportation to and from your work site is the responsibility of the student and parent/guardian.
Driver Requirements: Student drivers must provide proof of insurance and maintain driving privileges for the duration of the program.
Communication & Reporting
Be Responsive: Check your email daily. Students must respond to all JCPS communication in a timely manner.
Report Job Changes: If you lose or change your job, you must notify school staff within two (2) school days.
Grace Period: If employment is lost, you typically have a two-week grace period to find a new placement before your school schedule is adjusted.
Compliance & Documentation
Verification: To remain in the program, you must regularly submit pay stubs (for paid programs) or work logs (for unpaid programs).
Policy Adherence: Failure to comply with JCPS, state, or federal regulations—or employer policies—may result in immediate removal from the program.
Program Standards: Students must complete all additional lessons or activities assigned by school staff to meet WBL standards.
