Success in the Work-Based Learning program is built on three professional pillars:
1. Professionalism & Performance
Be Workplace Ready: Maintain a positive attitude, show courtesy to co-workers, and follow all employer and JCPS policies.
Stay on Track: Keep up your grades and attendance to remain eligible for graduation and your WBL placement.
Exceed Standards: Aim for a high level of performance in every task you are assigned.
2. Communication & Reliability
Be Punctual: Arrive on time, every time. Your employer and school depend on your consistency.
Report Absences: If you can’t make it, notify both your Employer and WBL Coordinator immediately.
Seek Guidance: Talk to your supervisor or coordinator early if you encounter any challenges at your site.
3. Accountability & Records
Track Your Progress: Accurately log your work hours, experiences, and wages in Jobready (or as assigned by the school).
Meet Deadlines: Submit all required forms and documentation on or before the due date.
