Meet the Teachers and Advisors

Mrs. Wright  

Agriculture teacher at Seneca High School for thirteen years, member of the Instructional Leadership Team at Seneca High School, Career and Technical Education Department Chair, National FFA Ambassador, Former Capital City Regional President, Kentucky Master Agriculture Teacher, graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Career and Technical Education with Agriculture Education focus, graduated in 2016 from the University of the Cumberland’s with a Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership. Ms. Wright currently lives on a production agriculture farm in Henry County, Kentucky. As an FFA Advisor has guided students to regional, state, and national competition placements, helped to improve the Seneca FFA chapter in various ways that allowed the Kentucky State FFA to name Seneca FFA as a Gold Emblem chapter and Farm Credit name it a 2016 Fresh Perspective Honorees--the only FFA Chapter named, National FFA 2 star chapter, and the entire Seneca Urban Agriculture Education Program to be named Kentucky’s 2019 Outstanding Agriculture Education Program. Now, in 2024, she will be moving on to becoming Kentucky FFA's State Advisor. 

Ms. Mattingly 

Agriculture teacher at Seneca for eleven years and is a member of the SBDM Council at Seneca High School, Capital City Regional President, Kentucky Master Agriculture Teacher, Kentucky’s 2017 Outstanding KCTE Teacher of the Year, 2018 ACTE Region II Teacher of the Year, and Louisville Defender Newspaper’s 2018 Outstanding Young Professional. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2012 with a degree in Career and Technical Education with an Agriculture Education focus and achieved her Masters in Teacher Leadership from the University of the Cumberland’s in May 2017. Mattingly grew up on a corn, soybean, tobacco, hay, and beef production farm in Southern Indiana. As an FFA Advisor, she has led members to regional, state, and national competition placements, helped to improve the Seneca FFA chapter in various ways that allowed the Kentucky State FFA to name Seneca FFA as a Gold Emblem chapter and Farm Credit name it a 2016 Fresh Perspective Honorees, the only FFA Chapter named, and a National two star chapter, and the entire Seneca Urban Agriculture Education Program to be named Kentucky’s 2019 Outstanding Agriculture Education Program.

Mr. Shull


Agriculture teacher at Seneca High School starting August 2023, Mr. Shull teaches the Ag Power Pathway. Graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Agricultural Education.
