The first grade classes have been studying about Hispanic culture in art. We learned about Mexican Serape blankets and thier cultural significance. They used their knowledge of different types of lines to make stripes on paper to glue onto a black blanket. 

They worked very hard to learn to tie a simple knot! They worked very hard- even if they were frustrated they powered through and tied knots in yarn for thier rug details.
