Media: Acrylic
Prompt: Bird's Eye View with Acrylic Paint
If I'm being honest, I don't know where I was going with this sketchbook. I think I was just having fun with making different colors and adding value to them.
Media: Permanent Media (Pen and Alcohol Markers)
Prompt: Taco Tuesday
My main focus was to explore new types of media. With this prompt, I was able to experiment with layering markers and finishing it with permanent media to create a particular style.
Media: Graphic Pencil
Prompt: Metallic Objects that reflect light.
After achieving success with my value project in Beginning Art, I was very excited to do this prompt. However, I found it tough trying to make the reflections look natural and distinct.
Media: Permanent Media (Pen)
Prompt: Back of the Bus, Figure out who is with you and where you are going
If I'm going on a roadtrip with anyone, it would definitely be with my cousins. With this prompt, I wanted to recreate the subtle chaos that occurs when all of us get together.
Media: Acrylic Paint and Graphite Pencil
Prompt: Something Soothing
Even though I'm scared of the ocean, I used it as my inspiration since water in general is very calming. I used blue circles in the background to create a peaceful atmosphere that would lead up to the turtle.
Media: Graphic Pencil and Charcoal
Prompt: An interesting object from three different angles
Even if this took me three hours to draw, I think this was one of the most enjoyable prompts for me. I liked how I was able to create more distinctions between the lights and darks with the charcoal.
