I would describe my skill in this one as pretty amateur, the texture for each item is off and the lighting on some pieces are a little weird. I notice the composition in this one as more spacious and scattered, there's a lot to look at. The scale for these objects look a little off because I'm not sure if the cupcake tins should be that big compared to the rolling pin and the measuring cups.
I would describe my skill in this one as more complex and well thought out. There is clearly more understanding of lighting and better use of the alcohol markers in general. I'm not sure if I improved on my composition with this one because I just focused on my subject for but I think the white background contrasts nicely with the greens and brown. It also looks more cohesive. There is clear growth when it comes to the subject because the scaling between the legs and the chair look proportional. The lights and darks also look more natural and complex. I think I've shown the most growth when it comes to adding value to my subjects. With my sketchbook prompts from first semester you can see that the shading is sort of "moderate." But for this semester I've done a lot better with lighting more drastic in the appropriate places.
