There's a new activity in the Seesaw. It's Naughty Kitty Cat. The instructions are all in a video there. You'll probably recognize the song - we learned it a few weeks ago!

April 20-24

To start off, here are a couple Scavenger Hunts for you to try around the house! Open the PDFs for instructions - if you have a printer, print them out so you can write over them. If you don't have a printer, you can answer the questions on another sheet of paper.

You'll need to post a picture or video in Seesaw for both of these. If you haven't joined our Seesaw class yet, open the app on your iPad or a phone OR follow this link to open it on a computer. You'll sign in with you lunch-number@jeffcoschools.us account. The class code is LNQV MLLG. The activities are there - double check that you're posting on the correct Scavenger Hunt for each one!

The first Scavenger Hunt is a Forte & Piano (Loud & Soft) one. Follow the instructions and don't forget to take a picture of the second page and share it in Seesaw. Have fun!

The other Scavenger Hunt is a High & Low Scavenger Hunt. Follow the instructions carefully and don't forget to post a video of you playing the sounds you find in Seesaw!

Hint: Remember high sounds are like the little instruments in the music room. A cat meow or a bird singing are high sounds.

Low sounds are like the bigger instruments in the music room. They sound deeper and often times stronger. A dog bark or an airplane taking off are low sounds

Same as last week - I'll post a few activities for you to try!

Here's the first one - it goes with Bate Bate, Chocolate - which you all know!

Last week, you learned Oliver Twist. Here's a new part! Follow and play along!

Punchinella! Hopefully you remember this one! Follow along - and it would be awesome if you did it with some people in your house or with your stuffies! If you do, I would love a picture or a video. You can have someone send them to jdewinkl@jeffcoschools.us. Have fun!

April 6 - 10

I'll be posting a few songs here for you to learn/follow along - and maybe even a couple activities for you to try on your own!

Here's the first one - a new song called Naughty Kitty Cat. Please follow the link below to FlipGrid, You will share a video on FlipGrid with me after you watch the instructions there.

If you follow the link, you should be able to sign on with your lunch number@jeffcoschools.us (your student ID). If you don't know that - please ask your classroom teacher! The video below should help if you are stuck.

New song to learn - Oliver Twist! Follow along with the video - and there's a challenge at the end :)

You'll need a ball that bounces pretty well. So either watch and pause the video when you get to that part, or go get one now so you're ready! Enjoy!

March 30 - April 3

Watch the video below to get your assignment for the week. Your job is to get outside (!) and listen to the sounds around you! Then download and complete the Google Doc below it and share or send it to me at jdewinkl@jeffcoschools.us

I'm excited to see what music you can hear outside!

Also - follow this link to explore some great songs! There are lots of them here, so pick and choose which ones you want to listen to. When you click the song, a new page opens up with a recording and the words. Listen to them a few times and see if you can join along! If you find some you really like, think of a game that we could play while we sing that song or create some movement to go with it. Or - you could even create a picture to go with the song. I would love to hear what you explored! Be ready to share your favorite songs with me and tell me if you created any games when we see each other in person again. You could even ask an adult to email me your ideas at Joseph.DeWinkle@jeffco.k12.co.us.

Happy listening & singing!
