Navigating Substance Experimentation in Teens (NSET) This two-hour workshop is aimed at parents, guardians and caregivers. It is not recommended for youth to attend. This workshop focuses on how to guide youth who are, might be or have friends who are experimenting with alcohol, marijuana and other substances. FLYER HERE

Nick Thompson- Parenting is Hard: Build a More Positive and Connected Relationship with your Child, Tween or Teen It's possible...even when they would rather pull away!
NICK is coming back for a district training on March 3rd! Nick is a dynamic counselor, parent coach, author, and podcaster. He will share with guardians how to simplify problems and tackle them head-on.
Understand the difference a trusted adult can make in the life of a young person
Learn tips for communicating with your child in ways that will open them up rather than shut them down - especially when they don't want to talk
Learn how to really listen and understand how it will help you connect with your child
Understand how to best support a child struggling with stress and anxiety

PARENTING WITH A COACHING MINDSET
Have you noticed that you're constantly trying to solve your children's problems for them? Are you tired of the pressure of having to give the perfect answer, and be the perfect parent?
If so, you're being too hard on yourself. Take advantage of an invaluable resource! Culum Walsh, PCC, is leading a free, virtual, monthly workshop series for all parents in Jeffco Schools: Parenting with a Coaching Mindset.
It's never too late to register! Each session stands on its own, so you can pop in and out of the series and still get value. If you want to catch up, please view previous sessions on the FB page, Coaching Your Kids.

Discussion around connection, courage and the gifts of imperfection based upon the work of Dr. Brené Brown, and her video The Call to Courage which we will watch first, and then discuss how to help build a sense of belonging, combat perfectionism, and foster more courage in our community.
