Seniors & Parents of Senior Students can utilize this page for all graduation announcements.

The Class of 2026 will graduate Wednesday, May 20th at 7:00 pm at Western Carolina University's Liston B Ramsey Center.

Graduation Events Timeline

Wednesday, May 20th 2026 - GRADUATION DAY at Western Carolina University's Liston B Ramsey Center

Graduation Practice - 1:30 pm at WCU Ramsey Center
1. 1. Graduation Practice is MANDATORY, if a senior misses Graduation Practice they will be unable to participate in the Graduation Ceremony
  2. Practice will take place at WCU in the Ramsey Center. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from practice.
Graduates should arrive by 6:00 PM for Graduation Ceremony.
The Graduation Ceremony begins promptly at 7:00 PM

- Caps and Gowns will be delivered to SMHS on April 13th, 2026 during lunches. After this date, students can come pick up their cap and gown in student support only if has been paid in full.
- Need to pay? You need to email Jostens at mark.manuel.office@jostens.com. Make sure to include your student name, school you attend, and a good call back phone number in your message. You will have to pay via card at this point moving forward.
- Cap & Gown is required for participation in the Grad Walk and Graduation Ceremony!
- Graduation Announcements will be delivered by Monday, April 20th (as well as any remaining cap and gowns that might have missed our first delivery date.)

Parents and family members can pre-purchase flowers and/or t-shirts for their graduate here. T-shirts will have the Mustang Logo on the front and graduates names on the back. Both flowers and shirts will also be available to purchase at graduation.
- - The last few years this booth was very busy at the graduation ceremony, we strongly encourage you to pre-purchase in order to ensure your items will be available at graduation.
Seniors that have earned honors cords for graduation will receive these cords before Graduation. The Student Support Center only handles academic cords, all club and extra curricular cords are handled by the club sponsor.
Seniors will need to complete their clearance forms in order to receive their diplomas. Clearance forms ensure students have returned all books, have no debts, and have turned in their laptop. Students can pick up a clearance form in the front office or student support center. Clearance forms are due back to the Front Office after students complete their last exam and have turned in their laptop.
