Modified Bell Schedule for Secondary Students

Students in grades 5-12 will utilize a modified schedule to accommodate both on-site and online classes. The amount of instructional minutes per course will remain the same, however, the daily bell schedule will look different. Students will have longer class periods and will only attend half of their classes each day. They will go to their other scheduled classes the following day. This will provide a safer environment by reducing the number of hallway transitions for students.

Unexpected, Temporary Interruption of Face-to-Face Learning

Virtual Instruction is an unexpected, temporary interruption of face-to-face learning. Students will attend school daily to receive instruction with previously identified safety measures in place. An announcement will be made by school messenger and social media as soon as the district identifies a short term closure is needed.

  • Virtual instruction includes all students (except for Ignite Online students) and may be utilized for short closures at any time.

  • New standards-based instruction will be provided by teachers.

  • Students will be expected to login to devices at 11:00 AM to receive further instruction from teachers.

  • Student attendance will be recorded.

  • Student work will be required and/or must be made up within three school days
