Secondary Modified Schedule

Students in grades 5-12 will utilize a modified schedule to accommodate both on-site and online classes. The amount of instructional minutes per course will remain the same, however, the daily bell schedule will look different. Students will have longer class periods and will only attend half of their classes each day. They will go to their other scheduled classes the following day. This will provide a safer environment by reducing the number of hallway transitions for students.

The modified schedule will also benefit Ignite Online students. Keeping up daily with eight virtual classes would be a challenge. The modified schedule will allow online students to focus on four classes daily.
The District is working hard to provide comparable schedules for students who enroll in Ignite Online. However, some courses offered onsite may not be available through Ignite Online. This is especially true of elective classes.
