This is a two day retreat that will focus on building the social and emotional well-being of all individuals within a school district. Each day will not only focus on the importance of supporting students’ mental health and well-being, but we will also spend time looking at the importance of maintaining strong mental health and well-being of adults within the school building. There will be time dedicated to looking at district PAYS data, looking at ways to support students based on that data, other topics around mental health, and activities that promote strong mindfulness skills within the adults tasked with supporting students daily. There will be nationally known guest speakers joining us, with a different one each day. Dr. Milakovic is planning to join us from PDE to speak on trauma and mental health within our schools. Districts are being asked to send teams of 4-5 individuals that can be made up of school counselors, school nurses, school psychologists, or teachers that seem to work the most with our “at-risk” students. Participants will need to attend both days. Click the link below for more information.
