Teachers who participated in the June 2025 HELP Summer Event at IUP/IRMC/WCCC are invited to continue building their capacity to understand the wide range of careers in rural healthcare. As part of our regional ecosystem approach, we are offering follow-up events that give educators firsthand exposure to the skills, roles, and technologies shaping today’s healthcare workforce.

November 20, 2025 – Rural Healthcare Event Day at IUP’s KCAC
A high-energy opportunity for networking among regional healthcare partners. This event features networking opportunities and industry speakers.
February 23, 2026 – HELP Student Event at Lenape Technical School
STEM teachers are encouraged to attend and learn alongside students during interactive healthcare sessions and simulations.
June 8–9, 2026 – HELP Summer Event at IUP/IRMC
A deep-dive, immersive experience connecting educators directly with healthcare professionals through job-shadowing, lab tours, and small-group rotations.

ARIN supports career readiness through multiple facets. Counselors meet at ARIN for the Counselor Collaboration where resources and events are shared and discussed as well as updates from PDE for 339 Plans.
ARIN also creates, plans, promotes, and executes student events that support career readiness:
Soft Skills Challenge is hosted in the Spring and offers Juniors and/or Seniors an opportunity to participate in mini challenges or experiences within businesses in Indiana, PA. Soft Skills are often a focus for employers and ARIN values the quality of future employers of Indiana and Armstrong County!
H.E.L.P. Health Education Learning Pathway is an another collaborative event hosted at Lenape Tech in the Winter, but open to all Indiana and Armstrong high schools. Students are offered an opportunity to explore healthcare careers through hands-on, personalized learning among current professionals in the field of healthcare from surrounding agencies and businesses.
H.E.L.P. Mini Med Camp @ IUP In 2025, students aspiring to become healthcare professionals were offered a two day camp at IUP, which included activities at WCCC and IRMC. As a follow up event to the Lenape event, students spoke to IUP professionals in the proposed college of osteopathic medicine, performed hands-on labs, rotated throughout IRMC learning about healthcare opportunities, and additional demonstrations were offered at WCCC. We hope to offer this event for the Summer of 2026, so stay tuned!
2026 Armstrong-Indiana Career Fair Held in the Spring (save the date- March 26, 2026), ARIN helps promote and participates in the two-county career fair. This join effort allows employers and students the opportunity to discover future possibilities in the current workforce of the counties.
