Description: Short makerspace activities and makerspace centers are one way to incorporate STEM / STEAM experiences into your elementary classroom or school library program. They give students the opportunity to collaborate and learn together while learning and practicing creativity, problem-solving skills, iteration, and collaboration.
In this beginner-level session, you’ll learn how to use pre-made resources to set-up makerspace centers or activities as part of a rotation, choice board, or a quick, once-and-done challenge. At the end of the session, attendees can explore some examples of makerspace centers and activities to use.
