Professional Goals

Academic Goals

Graduate Undergrad with a 4.0

This is an academic goal of mine because I believe it will set me apart from other students. I am a very hardworking individual and I want my grades to reflect that. I am currently on track to achieving this goal and I will continue to work hard towards it.

Get Accepted into a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy School

OT school is very competitive and getting into a school will be challenging. In order to achieve this goal, my undergraduate career must reflect my ambitions. With my current involvement in Best Buddies, Adaptive Movement Clinic, and the LHSI internship with Dr. Fodstad, I hope to build my academic and extracurricular portfolio with experiences that will help me get into a graduate program.

Gain Internship Experience Throughout Undergrad and Graduate School

With my current involvement in Dr. Fodstad's team for Autism research, I have come to the realization that I wish to continue building upon my internship experience. Once my internship ends for this year, I would like to try to get another one for next school year. The knowledge and experience I have already gained this year will be tremendous help for my future career, and I wish to continue to build upon my experiences.

Career Goals

Graduate with a Degree in Occupational Therapy

Graduating with a doctorate degree in occupational therapy is the culmination of my entire academic career. It has been a goal of mine since the 8th grade. Upon graduation, I would like to get a job at an outpatient facility or in a hospital.

Open up a Practice That Helps Individuals with Special Needs

Once I am a few years into my career, I would like to eventually open up my own therapy practice that helps individuals with special needs. This will be a very rewarding to me because I am very passionate about helping individuals with disabilities. This goal is many years down the road , but the activities I have involved myself with and my academics have aligned towards achieving this goal.
