Case Study - Sickle Cell Disease (SCD)
This was a group project completed with two other students. A short history was given to us on a fictional patient. Our job was to diagnose the patient and explain the gentic processes associated with the disorder. Our fictional patient presented with sickled red blood cells, which is a prominent symptom of SCD. We then researched how SCD affects the body, which is presented in the slideshow below.
