I will continue working toward my future career goals. I plan to attend medical school after I have completed my bachelor's degree. I will forever be a Bepko scholar, and I plan to encourage future scholars to be the best they can be. I will continue raising money for Riley because every kid deserves to dance. I will continue to be there for my family as best as I can. 

I am currently working toward my Bachelor of Science in Biology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. I plan to attend medical school to earn my Doctor of Medicine. My career interests are in pediatric anesthesiology. Freshman year, I worked as a lab technician at the Indiana University Genetics BioBank. This allowed me to see everything that goes into preparing a sample for researchers. I was able to get my foot in the door of a lab setting. Sophomore year, I did the LHSI program and worked with Dr. Amy Williams. I previously volunteered at Riley Hospital for Children. As a volunteer, I work alongside the Child Health Specialist on the unit. This may involve going to the Cheer Guild to get the Play-Doh they have been asking for and playing with it with them. I am currently working as a Patient Care Assistant at Riley. I learn something new every single day. I think it is so important to see this side of patient care before becoming a physician. The experience I am gaining in invaluable. I am currently working in the Witczak lab at the IUSM Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology, and Physiology. Our current project is looking at sex-based differences in insulin sensitivity. All these experiences will get me one step closer to achieving my future career goals.
