COURSE-ORIENTED ePORTFOLIO

My course-oriented  W231 ePortfolio examines all of the Writing projects throughout the semester. This ePortfolio was an opportunity to experience how to create a website and create a unique way of turning in assignments. As part of the design process, we learned writing strategies to grab an audiences attention through strategic design.

The Olaniyan Scholars Program Recomendation Report examines the challenges students of color face finding undergraduate research opportunities at IUPUI. Our team started the project by researching best practices in undergraduate research trends and successful undergaduate research programming. The research included searching scholarly databases first, then expanded to internet-based searches to look at undergraduate research programs at other universities. After one hundred hours of digital research, the team assessed IUPUI student experiences through a local study and distributed a survey to students and faculty to get their feedback. Our report analyzes the results and suggests practical options to support undergraduate research diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at IUPUI.

Where I am today and how ePortfolios played a role

My thoughts on the panel discussions:

I truly enjoyed being able to speak on the panel about ePortfolio's. I was able to gain experience from the professional world being that this was the first panel I have ever spoken on. ePortfolios are an extrodinary new learning tool that help students gain insight on organization and a professional setting. For that, I'm thankful I got to share my experience and hear about others experiences as well!
