Accreditation & Authorization

ISU is accredited through the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). ISU is the only IB World School in Mongolia and is authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in Pre-school through grade 5, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in grades 6 through 10, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in grades 11 and 12.

ISU’s most recent accreditation and authorization visits took place in November 2016.

Professional Memberships

In addition to CIS, NEASC and IB, ISU is an active member of the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS), the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS), and the Association of for the Advancement of International Education (AAIE). ISU is also registered with The International Educator (TIE) and Search Associates – international teacher-recruitment agencies.
