2011/12 to 2017/18 saw stable numbers at close to nominal capacity. The was the impetus behind the acquisition of the third campus.
The next two years saw the hoped for expansion but then Covid19 struck.
The full effect of this was not immediately felt with the number of re-registrations reaching an all-time high as new registrations dropped dramatically by around 70.
In fact it is this year where we expect the overall enrollment to reach a minimum, only recovering as new registrations return to pre-covid levels.
In the 10 years leading up to Covid the Primary school had typically exceeded it's nominal capacity with some fortunate matches between early leavers and late starters.
This picture has changed dramatically in the past two years and it may be that the recovery phase here takes several years.
From the peak enrolments of the first two years of our increased capacity the Covid related drop in new registrations was dramatic, from 112 to 72 - a drop of 36%.
The good news is that the recovery is looking quite healthy, certainly compared to the pre-expansion period.
The picture for our Diploma programme is intriguing.
Declining from a high of 140 students in 2015/2016 there was a sharp decline in numbers to a low of 111 in 2017/2018. From that low we have seen a steady increase and this does not seem to have been significantly slowed by the Covid effect.
Indeed we reached a new high for IB Diploma numbers during this last month.
