Adopt the Wellbeing Accreditation for Schools as a method for Change Management of the Wellbeing culture of the school
Update the ISP School Wellbeing Policy to reflect new practices
Review structures across the school to ensure that aspects of Wellbeing are embedded into new roles
We will promote positive wellbeing and mental health through a monthly Wellbeing Matters newsletter
Develop a vision statement that puts emotional wellbeing and mental health at the heart of the school’s aspirations.
Update all relevant school policies to ensure they connect with the school's work on emotional wellbeing and mental health.
Review the key risk factors that can impact on emotional wellbeing and mental health in pupils in our specific setting and put plans in place to mitigate these
To ensure that EWMH is embedded within communication through school website
Communicate the EWMH Strategy to the school community (Students, Staff, Parents)
Develop awareness of the importance of EWMH across the ISP community and ensure that the community understands and is aware of their responsibilities in promoting and protecting EWMH
Develop a Positive Education working party to develop a positive culture across the school
Put in place an accountability framework that clearly sets out who is responsible for emotional wellbeing and mental health within the school leadership
Implement positive ways of talking about, and removing the stigma around, mental health.
Ensure that staff EWMH is an important element of the EWMH strategy with appropriate budget and resourcing
Stress management, positive wellbeing interventions and reward systems are in place for staff.
Ensure staff EWMH is monitored frequently through PULSE, Review & Development and Line Management processes
Staff confidence and capacity, as well as training needs around EWMH are identified
A targeted short-term and long-term Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme is in place that includes emotional wellbeing and mental health
A programme of mental health awareness training is available to all staff.
Assessments of pupil and staff needs are conducted at regular points and feedback is acted upon.
Development of CPOMS to consider additional EWMH aspects
All staff can identify and respond to signs of emotional or mental distress in pupils and each other and a range of interventions are in place
The school has arrangements with external specialist services and signposts to appropriate online information, services and support.
To provide members of the school community (including Parents) with increased knowledge and understanding of EWMH matters
Wellbeing champions from across the ISP community identified and pupil, parent and staff voice incorporated
Communication of EWMH issues is proactive and regular
The school to work with partners in AIMS (Association of International Malaysian Schools), FOBISIA (Federation of British International Schools In Asia) and ISPH (ISP Hanoi - sister school) to develop joint working and appropriate networks
Review the current External Agencies document to ensure it is current and up to date
