Impetigo is particularly common in children and is highly contagious and is spread by skin‐to‐skin contact with the sores.

To minimize the spread of further infection we advise fingernails being kept short and clean and diligent personal hygiene e.g.: Showering/bathing daily and not sharing towels, etc.

If you suspect your child has Impetigo, a doctor should be consulted to diagnose and prescribe a treatment plan. Children are allowed to go to school as long as the sores are being treated and are covered with a clean dressing. If the sores are in exposed parts of the body and are difficult to cover, the child cannot go to school until they have healed.

If you have any concerns, please consult and have your child assessed by your family doctor. Please notify the Clinic Staff at Nurse@ishcmc.edu.vn or by phone at 02838989100 extension 2105/2633 primary, or 1131/1132 secondary Health Center if you suspect or have a confirmed case of impetigo in your household.
