Welcome to the BHS Registration Guide 26-27
The course registration process for students at BHS is a multiple-step process.
I will meet with each grade level, during a class period, where I will go over the required courses for graduation.
Students will be able to review the list of courses offered by BHS teachers, online programming, and college options. BHS students will complete a “wish list” of elective courses in the registration process which the administration and counselor will use to develop the master schedule and assign student schedules.
In early August, schedules will be available for students. Mr. Brenden is available throughout this process to meet with students and parents individually for registration.
Course sections will be adjusted to balance the class loads. Students should have their “wish list” of electives submitted before they leave for summer break. *Changes may be made in the summer due to changes in staff or other needs of the building.*

Registration Information
Students will submit a Google Form of their preferred elective courses in the spring.
Course sections are adjusted to balance the class sizes as much as possible
Students may not get the EXACT schedule they request due to multiple factors when inputting schedules
Students should have a tentatively finalized schedule available on Student/ParentVUE by the beginning of August
CHANGES may be made in the summer due to changes in staff or other needs of the building
Student Add/Drop of Courses
Students will have four (4) days at the start of each semester/quarter to drop or add classes
with administrative approval. Students need to choose and register for classes carefully so that
drops/adds are minimal. College classes may have separate deadlines that differ from the school’s drop/add period, and students are responsible for following those specific college timelines.
Schedule Changes Will be Limited to the Following Situations:
● The student schedule reflects a clerical or computer error
● A student is not scheduled for a course he/she may originally requested or is scheduled for a course
that was not on original registration
● A student has an incomplete schedule and needs to add a course
● A student does not meet the requirements for a course for which he/she is presently enrolled
● A student needs to schedule/reschedule a required course for graduation – core subject missing
● A student has failed a class and needs to retake the class or is not able to move onto the second part of the
class due to the failure
● A student wishes to drop an open hour to add a course
● A student needs to schedule a course that is required or recommended for admission to a specific
post-secondary school or program
● A student is recommended by his/her teacher to move from one level to another within the same
discipline
● A student is involved in an activity or ongoing therapy commitment in which they will need to leave early
often
● A student needs to adjust heavy rigor of college course load
● The change is a recommendation on a student’s IEP or 504 Plan
● A change which provides solid rationale
Schedule Changes that will NOT be allowed:
● Changes in teacher
● A student would like a different lunch
● A student needs to have class with certain friends
● A student changed their mind – it is important to make your registration selections carefully
● A student will not be dropped from a class with 12 or fewer students
