These resources may be helpful if you live within Scott County. This is by no means an exhaustive list of the things your community or county offers to you, but rather a starting point to assist you in a search for resources. Our counselors and/or Social Worker are available to answer any more questions or concerns that you have, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Children's Mental Health

  • This unit of Scott County helps assist you in supporting your child's mental health with information on how to apply and the services they provide.

Community Action Partnership (CAP Agency)

  • The CAP Agency helps people break down barriers to access by providing the tools and resources necessary to achieve success. They partner with businesses, schools, and other leading nonprofit organizations – like Esperanza and Together We CAN – to create vital and lasting connections.

Energy Assistance Program

  • CAP's EAP program helps eligible households with energy bill payment assistance.

Family Resource Centers

  • Family Resource Centers (FRCs) of Scott County are one stop shops for connections to services, resources, information and support. You will find parenting skills, mentorship programs, health and wellness programs, domestic violence advocacy and more! There are 3 locations throughout Scott County; Shakopee, Jordan and Prior Lake. Housing Link

  • Housing link aims to improve and simplify housing conditions and greater awareness of housing options in different neighborhoods for families participating in the Section 8 voucher and public housing programs.

Scott County Child Protection

  • This is contact information if you suspect and need to report child endangerment or neglect.

Scott County Community Development Agency

  • The Scott County CDA has a free foreclosure prevention counseling program. CDA works with homeowners to make sure they are informed of all options and achieve stable housing outcomes. You can call 952-402-9022 or visit their website. The Scott County CDA will talk with homeowners even if they are not residing in Scott County.
