This Artist turns her two year old's drawings into paintings. You will have one class period to do the same!
Using an x-acto knife, make cuts and folds throughout a single piece of paper.
Googly Eye Challenge
You will receive a single googly eye. You must glue it to your paper and incorporate it into a drawing. The one restriction: IT CAN NOT BE AN EYE!
Sketch as many patterns as you can in a single class period.
Happy Accidents!
Oops! Mrs. Wash spilled coffee on the drawing you've been working on for two days. You don't want to start over, so you turn it into a happy accident! What will you do with the coffee stain?
Create a drawing based on this quote:
Listen to the music and draw what comes to your mind.
No Adhesive Challenge
Using only cardboard scraps and scissors design a BRIDGE that can support the weight presented in class. Remember, no adhesives of any kind are allowed.
We're going to use the "What to Draw" app to give us today's drawing prompt.
Draw one of the Leprechauns in the video linked above. Once the leprechaun is drawn put your own unique twist on this art. Think background, accessories, style, etc. Try to finish the drawing in a way that no one else does! Post your complete drawing to Google Classroom.
Create a work of art that juxtaposes two contrasting items together to make a statement about how you see a particular topic.
For example, Banksy took a dove (a symbol of peace) and juxtaposed it with a target and a bulletproof vest. By using these images together, it creates a different meaning and challenges the viewer to think in a different way. For your concept, consider how you can use juxtaposition in your work.
