IMPORTANT DETAILS:

• Pumpkins should represent a favorite book character. You must have the title and author of the book written on the form. **We recommend getting the book information first before even starting to decorate the pumpkin.** 

• You may use a real or artificial pumpkin.  Please choose a pumpkin that your child is able to carry independently.

• ABSOLUTELY NO CARVED PUMPKINS!  Carved pumpkins rot, attract bugs, and smell. Carved pumpkins will not be displayed in the library and will be discarded.

• ONE PUMPKIN ENTRY PER HOUSEHOLD. Work on a design as a family!

• Let your creativity soar! Students may use acrylic paint, permanent markers, yarn, construction paper, pipe cleaners, glue, or anything else you have at home to decorate your pumpkin.   

• The majority of the work should be done by the students.

• Do not write your name anywhere on the pumpkin.  Turn in your pumpkin with your COMPLETED ENTRY FORM.
