Pumpkins should represent a favorite book character. You must have the title and author of the book written on the form. **We recommend getting the book information first before even starting to decorate the pumpkin.**
You may use a real or artificial pumpkin. Please choose a pumpkin that your child is able to carry independently.
ABSOLUTELY NO CARVED PUMPKINS! Carved pumpkins rot, attract bugs, and smell. Carved pumpkins will not be displayed in the library and will be discarded.
ONE PUMPKIN ENTRY PER HOUSEHOLD. Work on a design as a family!
Let your creativity soar! Students may use acrylic paint, permanent markers, yarn, construction paper, pipe cleaners, glue, or anything else you have at home to decorate your pumpkin.
The majority of the work should be done by the students.
Do not write your name anywhere on the pumpkin. Turn in your pumpkin with your COMPLETED ENTRY FORM.
