Kia ora, I'm Julian Bishop "JB"

I'm the JB behind JB Services, principal instructor at Wedding Dance NZ and Basestep Dance Studios. With me, you can access exclusive rates for workforce outsourcing solutions, marketing, and event management, handyman services, curtain installation and supply, and even pet-sitting services. At first glance, you might wonder what JB Services does best, but at the heart of it all, you're working directly with me. One point of contact. One relationship. Simple and transparent.

In December 2025, I wrapped up a three-year contract as Operations Manager for Volunteer Great Lake Taupō. It was a hugely varied role, deeply rooted in community, and filled with people and organisations doing genuinely good work. While I've stepped away from day-to-day operations, I remain closely connected as a trustee on the board and continue to support the organisation at a governance level.

Why work with me?

I'm known for being practical, reliable, and solutions-focused, with strong roots in the Taupō community. Co-hosting the Taupō Adult ADHD Support Group has also helped me better understand and properly harness my own ADHD as a strength rather than a limitation. That perspective shows up in my work: juggling multiple projects, spotting patterns others miss, and bringing energy and creative problem-solving where it's needed most.
