In the aftermath of COP26, many teachers and pupils have lots of questions about climate change and the conference which take place in Glasgow. The Highland Council’s Climate Change Coordinators, Joe Perry and Katie Andrews, are giving a talk which is open to schools across Highland on the topic of climate change and COP26. The virtual event will take place on Tuesday 7th December at 11.15am.
We will outline the basics of climate change - what it is, why it is happening, what it means for Highland and how teachers and pupils can help tackle this global emergency. We will also explore what COP26 was, why it was important and what were the main takeaways.
We would love to see as many schools get involved and if you, or your class, have any question relating to climate change please send them to carbonclever@highland.gov.uk prior to the event.
