Year 6

We will be usining our core text and a ange of other stimuli, including The Mazerunner, to write an action narrative and a descriptive setting description.

We will be learning about how light travels from a source, and understadning how light is recieved by the eye. FInd out more here. 

In Geography, we will be critically analysing a range of resources and interpreting trends in data to understand physical geography and the human impact on our world. Find out more here. 

In Computing we will be suing our digital skills to learn more baout how to us e the internet. We will be working to create an interactive eBook quiz using hyperlinks!

We will be learning about what different religions believe happens after death, discussing bereavement rituals and reflecting on how we may choose to remember people who have died. Find out more here. 

In PE, we will be  focusing on developing our gymnastic skills to create a routine as a group. PE days for Year 6 will be on Mondays but please bring your kit in on a Monday and take it home on a Friday in case these change.

We will be using different mediums, such as binka, tie-dye and printing, to experiment with creating out own fabris design.

We will be gaining confidence through performance and exploring notation.

French this half term has a focus on transport and the language and transport and support us to use our French to talk about travel to and from school.

In RSHE we will be learning about how to stay safe online, online relationships and online bullying.
