This half term in English, we will be using the story; 'Diver's Daughter' by Patrice Lawrence to create a newspaper article focusing on the sinking of the Mary Rose.
In Maths, the children will be continuing their learning on decimals before looking into building on their previous years learning of money and time.
In science, the children will be investigating 'living things and their habitats'. The children will be working scientifically by classifying, identifying and comparing different living things.
This half term the children will be delving into the Tudor times looking specifically at Henry VIII and the experiences of black Tudors in British History.
In Computing, year 4 will be looking into how to use 2logo to create letters and to use and build different procedures.
RE learning will focus on the religion of Judaism. The children will begin to learn the Jewish festivals and rituals.
This half term will see the children work on their multi sport skills in indoor PE. In outdoor PE, they will be practising their striking and fielding skills.
For DT this half term, the children will be linking their science learning to create a moving fan that controls the temperature of an animals habitat.
The children will continue to be musicians of their own right this half term as they connect musical notes to their feelings.
In French, the children will begin to understand and name French festivals. They will talk about people do at the festivals and the meaning they have for French people.
Within RSHE, the children will be looking into how to keep physically and mentally healthy. The children will also focus on how to keep safe.
