English
In English, we will be reading the humorous story of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' to write a manifesto. Through this, we will be exploring the role of a politician, prime minister and consider the structure of politics.
Maths
In Maths, the children will be recapping then building on their knowledge of fractions, then moving onto mass and capacity. They will continue to rehearse their times table knowledge through a range of daily practise, games and activities.
Science
This half term the children will be learning about light and shadow. Through this, they will consider what causes shadows, why they change and how sunlight impacts this.
History
In history, children will be learning about the significance of the Egyptian period, the way of life, and the structure and significance of politics in this era.
Computing
The children will be exploring how to use technology safely, keeping personal information quiet and identifying where to go for support.
RE
This half term in R.E, the children will be exploring the symbolism, practices and core values of Sikhism
PE
The children will be developing their skills in the area of striking and fielding, with accuracy and intent. They will consider how to use a scoring system in this.
Design & Technology
The children will be developing their knowledge of levers, and pneumatic systems by designing a bridge that could be used to cross the river nile.
Music
The children will be using Charanga to consider how music can allow us to get to know our community.
French
In French, the children will continue to work on their number knowledge. Then they will learn to talk about their pets.
RSHE
The children will identify routines and habits for maintaining physical and mental health including: brushing teeth, eating healthy and emotional regulation.
