There are many benefits to riding your bike. It's exercise and it makes your legs not hurt that much when you ride your bike. When you sit on a bike, you put your weight on a pair of bones in the pelvis called the ischial tuberosities, unlike walking, when you put your weight on your legs. Cycling builds muscle because when you are pedaling and you are getting muscles. It's good for you.

When you ride a bike, you need training wheels, bright colored clothes, and also a helmet. A helmet protects your head if you fall. Bright colored clothes protect you if it’s nighttime and makes it easier for cars to see you. To ride a bike, sit on a bike and then begin by pushing your feet on the ground and then pushing the pedals. You start with training wheels and go slow, then you go up to a faster, better bike with no training wheels. Training wheels are helpful on smaller bikes when you are just learning. Bigger bikes can go super fast and can go very far. Riding you bike is fun. When you ride a bike, it becomes part of you.

The first bicycle had two wheels but not pedals and was invented in 1817 by Karl Von Drais. Through the 1800’s, bicycles went from many wheels to two wheels and pedals added instead of people using their feet to push the bike. Rubber wheels, brakes, chains, and gears were also added. The 1860’s models of bicycles were like the bikes we know today.

I can go on adventures on my bike. I get exercise, play with my friends and family, to travel to parks with my mom. Riding bikes can help to become healthy and to have fun outside. Bikes are lots of fun, and they have come a long way since being invented years ago. Everyone should ride a bike.
